Phosphor Storage Plates (PSP) Technology
More and more practices are upgrading from film to digital radiography, in part due to talk of a possible government mandate that all dental patient records be digitized as early as 2014.* Many dentists are choosing PSP as their digital option due to its many advantages over film, including: faster image development; superior image resolution; and savings due to no need for costly chemicals or chemical processor maintenance. There is also no need for special training, as workflow and placement technique are identical to film.
