6. What are the benefits of USB 2.0 compared to Fire Wire?
USB 2.0 is found more commonly, it is faster (480mbps vs. 400mbps) and less expensive than Fire Wire.

7. Why not a direct USB connection from the camera to the CPU?
Your connection distance between computer and camera is then limited and it allows for only one means of connection.

8. Does the Acclaim have a focal ring on the handpiece?
No. With the Acclaim true lens system, everything between 6mm and 50mm is automatically in focus.

9. What type of light source does the Acclaim use?
Acclaim uses 7 Ultra Brite White LED's rated for 100,000 hours of use.

10. How can I capture images with the Acclaim?
If using the Acclaim through a computer, simply press one of the buttons on the handpiece for easy freezing and saving. If using the Acclaim without a computer, utilize the supplied footswitch for effortless capturing.

11. Does the Acclaim have sheaths?
Yes, the Acclaim has disposable one use sheaths supplied with the camera that are optically clear at the tip so there is no image distortion.

14. What is the color temperature of the camera system?
The color temperature of the white LEDs has a range based upon the chromaticity values of each individual LED. However, the color temperature will typically average at approximately 6,500 degrees Kelvin.

The Acclaim is warranted for a period of 24 months.

In order to be listed as an approved software vendor for use with the Acclaim camera, Air Techniques requires an in house test of your software’s compatibility and capability. To arrange for testing please send a fully licensed copy with all necessary registration numbers or keys to:
