Yes, it will work. Our camera includes DBSWIN Imaging Software which allows you to see the image and capture and save the images into your patient’s record.

In 2017 Air Techniques introduced CamX Triton HD which has the interchangeable head system allowing the user to easily and quickly change between caries diagnosis and intraoral imaging. Elara is an Intraoral Camera and Spectra is a Caries Detection Aid.

Air Techniques’ equipment is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of installation for a period as follows:

No, CamX Triton HD, Elara, and Spectra is a wired camera, which means you will need to have a computer with a USB 2.0/3.0 port (or a laptop) near the chair. Camera comes with an 8 ft. long USB 2.0 cable. Please be noted that wireless cameras may cause interference and image quality will never be as good as that of wired cameras.

The minimum system requirements necessary to operate CamX intraoral cameras are listed below.

Hardware and software

The PC and its components (monitor, printer, etc.) must be set up according to IEC 60601-1 (EN60601-1) if they are operated within the vicinity of the patients (up to 1.5 m away from the patient examination area). The safety requirements of the PC system may differ depending on the combination with other peripheral equipment (scanner, intraoral X-ray imaging system). Further information can be found in the user manuals or may be derived from regulations valid for the system installation location.

The function of Air Techniques hardware and software might still be impaired as a result of peculiarities of the customer’s hardware and software landscape even if these system requirements are met. If additional systems are connected up to the PC, these system requirements may change. Take the system requirements of all connected systems into account.

Minimum Computer System Requirements

There is no limit to the number of operatories the drivers and TWAIN interface can be installed on.

Most of our customers realize that given how affordable CamX Triton HD, Elara, and Spectra is, one camera per operatory makes a lot of sense considering the time spent removing, moving and inserting the camera in a different room.

CamX Triton is a HD Intraoral Camera with interchangeable head system, autofocus and real HD resolution. The interchangeable heads allow you to quickly change between caries diagnosis and intraoral imaging. CamX Elara is an Intraoral Camera and CamX Spectra is the only caries detection aid that use fluorescence technology to visualize and discover caries, plaque and calculus with a tangible color and numerical overlay to assist in documentation and proposed treatment plans.

Yes, CamX Triton HD, Elara, and Spectra Intraoral Camera works on all operating systems 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

CamX Triton, Elara, and Spectra Intraoral Cameras have been engineered to not require a foot pedal. The capture buttons placed on the camera will take the picture without having to use the computer mouse or a foot pedal.

If it supports TWAIN (scanners), yes.  Most dental imaging applications will be able to use the camera via the TWAIN interface we provide with our cameras at no additional cost.  We are interested in hearing from you about your dental imaging application and working with you to provide support if we don’t already have it.

CamX Elara is listed with the FDA as a Class I medical Device.  CamX Spectra and CamX Triton HD are cleared with the FDA as a Class II Device.

CamX Triton, Elara, and Spectra Intraoral Camera is supported in most TWAIN Complaint Dental Imaging software solutions.  For reference, here is a list of the some of the common software programs used by our customers:
