Depending on which software you are using, you may have noticed that the Camera interface you used with our older cameras looks different when you use our Elara. The Elara camera uses Twain drivers and your other camera may have used ‘software integration”. With integration, your software developer created code specifically so that our camera could speak directly to their imaging module. That works well, but it is specific to each software and is time consuming to program and to update. Twain drivers can be thought of as a universal translator and it allows every software, provided it is twain compatible, to see and Speak to the Camera the same way regardless of your operating system, your software version or even the model of the camera connected.
