Air Techniques’ New ProVecta S-Pan Cephalometric X-ray Expands the ProVecta X-ray Family

MELVILLE, New York — (November 23, 2015) — Air Techniques, Inc., a leading innovator and manufacturer of dental equipment, is excited to announce the newest addition to its ProVecta family of digital X-rays, the ProVecta S-Pan Ceph.

ProVecta S-Pan Ceph produces quick cephalometric projections with the best image quality at a low X-ray dose. The short scanning time of 4.1 seconds makes it one of the fastest linear ceph designs available today. This quick scanning time significantly reduces the risk of motion blur. For young patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, the combination of low X-ray dose and short scanning time presents a considerable advantage for the patient and practice.

An optimum workflow is achieved with ProVecta S-Pan Ceph’s two high-end CsI sensors, which are integrated in the unit. This enables the system all of the functions and advantages of the ProVecta S-Pan Panoramic X-Ray. The sensors also eliminate the tedious, time-consuming switching between the panoramic X-ray unit and the cephalometric arm. Simply set the program mode accordingly to start a cephalometric X-ray. Besides the 17 panoramic

programs available, 5 programs for all cephalometric X-ray recordings are also included; Head lateral L, PA head, SMV (submentovertex), Waters view and Hand (Carpus).

“We are excited to expand our family of high quality X-ray systems with ProVecta S-Pan Ceph,” said Lindsay Viola, Air Techniques’ Product Manager of Diagnostic Systems. “Ideal for orthodontic and general dentistry, the S-Pan Ceph produces the best possible images, automatically every time. Our goal is to improve daily workflows by designing digital products that enable quicker and easier diagnosis while benefiting your patient and practice.”

The S-Pan technology, only available from Air Techniques, uses a unique algorithm to compile up to 20 layers from one panoramic rotation into one clear and sharp image in all areas of the dental anatomy.  Unlike traditional 1 layer or 5 layer systems, the ProVecta S-Pan Ceph acquires images that are specifically created for each individual patient.

ProVecta S-Pan Ceph is an all-around perfect combination of image quality, efficiency and design. For more information on the S-Pan Ceph or Air Techniques, please visit: www.airtechniques.com. Become a fan of Air Techniques on Facebook and follow the company on Twitter.
