Get the right CAD CAM Compressor now!

Choosing the right CAD/CAM mill is only part of building a reliable digital workflow. Choosing the right compressor is just as important. A mill depends on a steady supply
of clean, dry, oil-less compressed air to operate properly. The wrong compressor can lead to failed milling jobs, costly downtime, or even permanent damage to the mill.

Choosing the correct CAD CAM Air Compressor

Continuous Dry Air for Dental CAD/CAM Milling

Dental CAD/CAM milling and grinding machines demand more from a compressed-air system than typical dental procedures. These machines require a constant, uninterrupted air supply during extended operation. Conventional desiccant dryers depend on regeneration time to remove collected moisture. During long milling cycles, compressor shut-off periods may be too short for complete regeneration. As a result, moisture can gradually build in the air system and compromise the quality and reliability of the compressed air.

Desiccant dryers also require ongoing maintenance. Over time, the drying beads lose their ability to effectively absorb moisture and must be replaced, typically every 3–5 years depending on usage and operating conditions. If the desiccant material is not changed when needed, the dryer can no longer remove moisture properly, allowing wet air to reach the CAD/CAM mill.

Air Techniques’ patented membrane-drying technology is designed for continuous operation. Unlike standard desiccant dryers, it does not require regeneration downtime or desiccant bead replacement. Moisture is continuously separated from the compressed-air stream, helping maintain a consistent supply of dry, oil-less air throughout the milling process.

The Membrane-Drying Advantage

With Air Techniques’ membrane-drying system, your CAD/CAM workflow gets reliable compressed air without the limitations of conventional desiccant drying.

Continuous drying performance

No regeneration cycle required.

Built for long CAD/CAM milling runs

Supports extended compressor duty cycles.

Consistent dry, oil-less air supply

Helps reduce moisture-related interruptions.

Lower dryer-maintenance demands

No desiccant beads to replace every 3–5 years.

Protects your CAD/CAM investment

Helps prevent failed mill jobs, workflow disruptions, and moisture-related equipment damage.

Protect the Mill. Preserve the Workflow

Your CAD/CAM mill is a major investment. Pairing it with the right compressor helps ensure every milling job has the clean, dry air it needs from start to finish.

This is What Counts:

Membrane Drying Unit

Thanks to the membrane drying unit, no regeneration times are necessary, enabling constant drying in continuous operation with a longer duty cycle.

Compressed Air Quality

The membrane drying unit and the bacteria filter ensures dry, oil-less and hygienic compressed air to prevent any damage or impairment to the quality of the CAD CAM system.

The NEO Advantage

The AirStar NEO Compressors feature advanced electronic controls with digitally adjustable pressure and a dedicated CAD CAM mode — engineered to reliably support demanding CAD CAM milling systems.

Operational Safety

Operational safety with VistaSoft Monitor allows you to check the compressor status at any time and warns you if maintenance is required or problems occur.

Optimally suited for the continuous operation of milling and grinding machines.

The constant, uninterrupted flow of compressed air required by milling and grinding machines makes for very long compressor duty cycles. Compressors with simple desiccant dryers are thus not suited to run such machines. Air Techniques’ fully developed membrane-drying technology eliminates regeneration times and is designed for continuous operation. A constant supply of dry, compressed air in continuous operation is guaranteed, so your milling process is never interrupted.
