Air Techniques and exocad collaborate on ProVecta 3D Prime X-Ray System’s Digital Workflow

MELVILLE, New York — (March 12, 2019) — Air Techniques, Inc., a leading innovator, and manufacturer of dental equipment and their latest X-ray system, the ProVecta 3D Prime, announces a partnership with exocad®, the world’s leading open architecture CAD/CAM supplier. The integration of exocad’s high-performance software, exoplan®, will be available to ProVecta 3D Prime users for both implant planning and surgical guide designs.

The ProVecta 3D Prime hybrid X-ray system generates 3D and 2D images in a unique 130mm x 85mm jaw-shaped anatomically adapted volume, including all treatment areas without imaging non-relevant anatomy. Thanks to the integration with exoplan, practitioners with ProVecta 3D Prime benefit from an intuitive, digital workflow merging DICOM data with 3D scans.

“Air Techniques’ commitment to improving the practitioners’ diagnostic capabilities and daily workflows motivated our partnership with exocad,” said Christoph Roeer, Air Techniques’ Chief Executive Officer. “This new partnership ensures a seamless integration for labs, 3D scanners, 3D printers or milling machines for our ProVecta 3D Prime users.”

Founded in 2010 as a spinoff of the world-renowned Fraunhofer Organization, exocad provides class-leading open architecture dental software solutions with “Freedom of Choice”.   This means exoplan combines output from any open 3D scanner with the ProVecta 3D Prime data to drive the implant plan.  Surgical guide design can be done in-house or outsourced via “dentalshare”, or you can add a 3D printer for in-house production.

Air Techniques’ strong product portfolio of utility systems, digital imaging, and merchandise, are capable of equipping the smallest practice to the largest university or hospital. Consistently, Air Techniques remains the leading and largest manufacturer of dental air compressors and vacuum systems in North America.
